Have Hindus destroyed Hinduism?
This articles starts by
explaining the beginning of Hinduism after Vedas—to how Vedas were lost—to the role
of Adi shankara to save Hinduism—to the present day chaos—and concludes with a
discussion how we can reconnect via fire to re-establish dharma
Vedas are the highest
intuition possible for a human being
Nothing is invented,
everything is invited, so the Vedas were downloaded from ether into the hearts
of the worthy, this happened worldwide and hence are not subject to any
political boundaries or limited to the Indian subcontinent
The Vedas cover all
subjects, be it the understanding of the Universe or the human body or getting
desired help from higher realms
The sages guided people
in India based on this ultimate wisdom
Later they laid down a
system called Sanskara, I quote directly from the book Hindu dharma by Chandra Sekharendra
Saraswati the sage of kanchi
I quote “The word "samskara" meaning according to the
Tarka-sastra (science of logic) as "impression on memory". But this
is not how the word is generally understood. "Sam(s)"=well;
"kara"=making. "Samskara" means making something good,
refining or purifying it
The dharma sasthras deal with such
samskaras as purify a man so as to make him fit to be united with the
Paramathman. From the dharma sastras we know in detail the forty samskaras that
are based on the Kalpa-sutras and that are to be performed by a man during his
life's journey
All religions teach people to be loving,
to be truthful and to be free from jealousy, desire and greed. But our religion
goes further by imposing on us the performance of various samskaras to acquire
these qualities in practical life. There is no use in merely preaching, in
asking people to be like this or that. A man must be kept bound to a system
consisting of such works as would help him in practice to acquire the noble
qualities expected of them. Our religion alone does this
For cittasuddhi (purity of the
consciousness). There are forty samskaras to refine a man with Vedic mantras
and to involve him in the rites associated with those mantras. These are the
first steps towards the indissoluble union of the individual self with the
Absolute - it is Advaiticmukti, non - dualistic release
a man has to be made a knower of the
Atman through a series of rituals. Karma has to be performed in such a way as
to purify him both outwardly and inwardly. Such a karma is called samskara
The sages have laid down the forty
samskaras and the eight "Atmagunas” for this purpose.” End of quote
They were later brought
down to 16 sanskaras in the Grhyasutra texts
The first sanskara
starts before birth when the parents unite as husband and wife; I again quote
from the book Hindu dharma
Quote “The
samskaras begin with garbhadhana that is from the moment of conception [or,
more correctly, impregnation]. The sexual union of man and wife must be
sanctified by the mantras. Instead of being an act of animal passion, it is
raised to the level of a samskara with the chanting of mantras: the purpose is
the well-being of the life to be formed
Where there should be some
delicacy in man-woman relationship people act without any sense of shame after
the fashion in the West. But, when it comes to performing Vedic rites in which
the well-being of the new life created is involved, they feel a sense of
awkwardness. Such an attitude is not right
If there is any feeling of
delicacy on your part about the garbhadhana (rtusanti) ceremony, you do not
have to invite a crowd. But the rite itself must be gone through within the
four walls of the home. It is no longer the custom to have a four-day wedding
with the couple doing daily aupasana. Nor is the rite of sesa homa conducted
following the day of wedding. The couple has sexual intercourse on the same day
as the marriage without any ceremony and the chanting of mantras. This is an
evil practice and sinful. Since the intercourse takes place in an animal
manner, the children born too will be likewise
If the mother takes medicine, the baby is nourished, is it not? In the same way the inner thoughts and feelings of the parents will affect the foetus and its character will be shaped accordingly. There is a difference between what you write when your mind is calm and what you write when you are in an angry mood: the first will be good to read while the second will not be so pleasant. The body too is subject to good and bad influences. The sexual union must take place when the couple is imbued with good thoughts: it will then lead to the creation of a blob of life (pinda) that will have the potential to develop into a noble character. This is the reason why the marriage is consummated with the intonation of mantras” unquote

The last sanskara is
after death, performed by relatives
As the dark ages set in
app 5000 years ago Ved Vyas in the area of Badrinath restructured the Vedas and
the Puranas, he also put forward the divine teachings to lead a good life in
the form of stories like Mahabharat, he did this as he sensed the age of
darkness and ignorance setting in where the Vedas would not shine with the same
effulgence (brilliance, radiant splendour) as in the previous ages.
Since the Lord resolved
that the Vedas must burn with at least the minimum of lustre to be of benefit
to mankind and this he ensured through Ved Vyasa
Classifying objects is
also known as "vyas" hence his name Ved Vyas
He divided the Vedas
into 1,180 sakhas (recensions) and the Brahmins were supposed to be the
custodians of the Vedas, but as time passed those who were giants in knowledge
became giants in evil and the Brahmins distorted the Vedas to suit them,
Religion turned into business and all except 6 or 7 recensions of the Vedas are
available today
Now out of sheer
stupidity most Hindus do not keep the Mahabharat in their houses, you may read
my article on why Mahabharata is a must in every house by clicking on the link

The curse of casteism
The Vedas never
acknowledged casteism but the Brahmins become the first and the biggest racist
on the planet, today almost all have abandoned their original profession of
religion but still proclaim themselves to be the chosen ones and look down on
their fellow creatures
The entire political
structure in India is caste based
Currently in Uttarakhand
school children refuse to eat food provided in schools cooked by lower caste; I
ask the racist of Uttarakhand that when you all take your daily dose of alcohol
do you ask which caste has made that alcohol
Since the Brahmins
failed in their duty and made a mess of religion; 2500 years after Ved Vyas
came Adi Shankaracharya, he re-established 4 temples (char dham) and started mathas
in the 4 corners of India, hence he created a connection between north &
south India ending the divide and created an energy grid enveloping India, hence
later on the Mughals & British rulers could not manage to convert the entire
nation into their religious beliefs like they did in most countries also
Bangladesh and Pakistan which were outside this grid were cut off from India
but India remained protected
You may read a detailed
explanation on the reasons behind the char dham yatra by clicking on the link

Politicization of Hinduism
Nehru started Bharat
sevak samaj keeping Gujaril lnanda in front, the point was to bring in Religion
to influence voters, what can be the best way of mind control then Religion.
What the
congress has done the BJP (formally janta party) has taken to the extremes be
it corruption or wrong doings, so Ashok singal of BJP started dharma sansad and
made 60 shankaracharyas, some of the shankaracharyas which the BJP made were
married accompanied by their wife’s and wearing western outfits, where as Adi Shankaracharya
had laid down clear rules that there can be only 4 Shankaracharyas in the 4
corners of India, even during the British rule they did not allow anyone to
take the title of shankaracharya other than the 4 designated ones
Today 2500 after
Adi shankaras effort to integrate India and re-establish the Hindu dharma we
are in chaos and darkness with Hinduism left only in countless debates and countless
branches, taking advantage God men, Gurus have sprung up, each putting forward
his own method and ideologies
It is
interesting to note that again after 2500 years after Adi shankara a moment has
commenced in the name of Ram and a temple re-established, but this is certainly
a political moment by keeping a political Ram in the picture
One young man
told me that he was with his wife at Auli in Himalaya which is a scenic skiing
place, he was talking to some senior citizens of visiting Badrinath which is
close by; they told him that this is not his age to visit Badrinath he can do
that when he is old. People have made visits to a shrine just a mandatory
requirement which one has to do when he / she is old; such people do not even
realize the importance of visiting a spiritual powerful place like Badrinath
and the power of the Bhairav temple in the temple, one look at the barren
mountains around Badrinath makes you feel the spirituality of that place
There is hardly
any family which practices the laid down sanskaras completly, there are no
agnihotris (householders who maintain the sacred fire) left, Religion has
turned into power struggle and money game, our ancient temples destroyed mostly
by mughal invaders, we must strongly reflect why our religious fabric was
destroyed; when the place of worship loses its spiritual power this can happen,
the Shankaracharya of Govardhan matha Swami Sri Nischalananda Saraswati says
that, I quote him “soon the deities worshiped at jagannath puri (one
of the 4 dhams) will depart because of the wrong doings of the priest there and
when the righteous Gods depart evil spirits take over the idol” end of his quote, this newspaper link may give a glimpse of the wrong
doings happening
So what can we
do, with no true Guru to guide us?
We can aspire to
live a righteous life, chant our mantras like the Gayatri and keep a fire /
lamp in the house—praying to the fire to connect us with the saints
How does Fire connect
Different
elements have different roles, Air spreads, hence flags with mantras written on
them are hoisted at heights, water is the custodian of memory hence we take a
pledge (sankalp) while holding water in our hand, we bless or curse someone by
expressing our wish and throwing the water. Water through rivers / streams transmits
the memory of destruction of nature which takes place downstream which is
transferred to mountain tops, hence when nature is destroyed at the base the
destruction is felt in the mountains. Fire unites, that is why marriage
ceremonies are held in front of fire, in fact all ceremonies are held in front
of the fire, so fire forms a grid, all spiritual groups have their eternal
(akhand) fire burning, any new entrant takes the fire from this eternal fire
and connects to the respective spiritual network
There must be
something in Hinduism hence no invader / plunderer who came to India could destroy
its core Religion, I am sure that the one who is worthy always receives the
guidance into his heart
