A bottle for Ganga jal (Ganges water)

When my aunt passed away and I had a wish to take Ganga jal (Ganges water) for her final rituals

I was searching for a bottle and came across one; I immediately remembered that it was the same bottle in which she had sent sweets for me a few months back

She must have sent with so much love and affection—the same bottle was used to carry the sacred water for her final rituals

She always wanted to meet me but I always avoided because my job was my priority

We always know how much money we have but we never know how much time is left in our and our loved ones lives

People who used to send friendship messages just ended up sending a RIP (rest in peace) message; I learned that real friends never send friendship messages but they stand by the friend in times of need like the one that truly love you never says “I love you”, just like small innocent children who never use any words to express love but their pure hearts are full of love

Teachings from Ramayana

जाकी रही भावना जैसी
प्रभु मूरत देखी तिन तैसी:

Jaki rahi bhavana jaisi, prabhu murat dekhi tin taisi

The lord (your surroundings) will appear as per your feelings

Means there is a law of balance operating, and that we see the face of God in the form of our deepest thoughts, emotions and feelings

Studying the Sanskrit root word Bhavana which means development, cultivating or producing in the sense of "calling into existence.”, hence building is called bhavan, so we create our own Universe, our own surroundings as per our deepest thoughts

We should never blame others, for whatever happens to us because that is what we deserve as per the law of balance, and if we desire to change the world, the only place we can begin is our selves, for when we change, only then our surroundings will change, as Krishnamurti said

“The only hope for humankind is the transformation of the individual. To change the world, you must first change yourself.”
—Jiddu Krishnamurti

धीरज धरम मित्र अरु नारी
 आपद काल परखिये चारी:

Dheeraj dharam mitra aru nari aapad kal parakhiye chari

Patience, one’s ability to follow the righteous path, Friend and Wife (female companion) these four are always tested in adversity

In an adverse circumstance four things are tested--- (1) ones patience, (2) how much can a person hold on tightly to the righteous path, (3) a friend—one comes to know who is a true friend and who all are fair weather friends and (4) the woman who is close to you, a woman who is close to you for material benefit will disappear but your faithful lover / wife will never abandon you

Now some people ask this question that why the fourth point say’s women does it not apply to men as well; the answer is:

First of all understand that if these words were told by a man, then we could have said that they seem biased, but these words were said by a woman in Ramayan who was none other than Devi Anasuya (literally meaning one who is free from jealousy or envy / the best among woman)  the wife of Rishi Atri to praise Sita who could have remained in her palace among luxury but instead chose to follow her husband during his exile, so while praising Sita also a message is conveyed to men that a faithful lover / wife will never abandon you in adversity so never chase after other woman since men have a tendency to be very irresponsible in their sexual behaviour (which I have written in the blog on male female relationships)

In the climax scene of the Ramayan; when Ram and Ravan come face to face in battle, here Ravan is on an mayavi (elusive) chariot floating above the ground, serviced by various ghost and spirits, decked heavily in armour with all sorts of divine weapons, on the other hand Ram who is now leading an ascetic life stands bare footed in a simple robe with only his bow and arrows, a complete mismatch, an unequal and unfair contest, much against the protocol of battle in those days

The story of Ram is that he was going to be made a king but was instead sent to exile; he faced many difficulties but never received any help. He always followed the path of dharma—the righteous path so on this special day when there was a faceoff between good and evil and Ram stands against the mighty Ravan in battle, bare footed, finally the seeds of virtue that he sowed in his entire life brought results and the Gods come to his assistance, the lord of heavens sent his chariot, which descended from heaven with the horses themselves chanting mantras and other Gods gave him their weapons, in this way once again the eternal laws were fulfilled that when there is a decay of dharma, he is born age after age to destroy evil and to once again establish the righteous order in society also the Gods coming to the assistance of Ram proves what Paulo Coelho has written in the alchemist—this Universe conspires in helping you to achieve your dreams, just like the Universe had once conspired to help Rudra to destroy Tipura, you may read that story on the link below

Lord Ram asked Hanuman, "Who are you, monkey?" Hanuman bowed his head reverently, folded his hands and said, "When I do not know who I am, I serve You and when I do know who I am, You and I are One.”

These are my very own interpretation of the Ramayana teachings; currently I am studying the allegory (deep meaning) of sunder kand and the story of kakbhushundi, the eternal crow, will write about them in future

Ram temple at Ayodhya

5000 years ago Ved Vyas restructured the Vedas---2500 years after him Adi Shankaracharya re-established the 4 chardham temples India wide---and 2500 years after him now the Ram temple is to be rebuilt

There is no doubt that the issue of reconstructing the Ram temple at Ayodhya has a political motive, politicians want the vote bank and the Swiss bank (to store their ill-gotten money).

However nothing happens without a reason; if we go back around 5000 years, it was then that Ved Vyas in the area of Badrinath restructured the Vedas and the Puranas, he also put forward the divine teachings to lead a good life in the form of stories like Mahabharat, he did this as he sensed the age of darkness and ignorance setting in where the Vedas would not shine with the same effulgence (brilliance, radiant splendour) as in the previous ages.
Since the Lord resolved that the Vedas  must burn with at least the minimum of lustre to be of benefit to mankind and this he ensured through Ved Vyasa

Classifying objects is also known as "vyas" hence his name Ved Vyas-- one who classified the Vedas, otherwise his real name was Krsna and, since he was born on an island, he had the appellation “Dvaipayana" (Islander). Badarayana is another name of his

(The people of the orient and some tribes around the world rightly believe that our ancestors were having more wisdom then us, whereas the western way of thinking is that our present generation knows more than our past generation and we become smatter and smatter with every generation).

It is most unfortunate that out of the 1, 180 sakhas (recensions) of the Vedas that Ved Vyas classified almost all except six or seven are left, rest all are lost

2500 years after Ved Vyas, Adi Shankaracharya appeared to revive our lost religion, and once again tried to bring mankind on the right track

The Vedic way of life was not followed and various sects flourished; to re-establish the righteous order Adi Shankara took birth, he wrote commentaries on the Upanishads, re-established the four main temples in the 4 corners of India (You may read my articles on char dham yatra; I add a little more here)

(many times I feel that he must have selected the Pashupati nath temple, instead of  the jagannath temple, however it is a different topic)

When people say that the lord has breakfast in Badrinath then goes for lunch in another chardham temple and roams about all four temples in a day, people laugh but the deep meaning is that an energy grid circulating the 4 temples which was created when Adi Shankaracharya installed yantras in the temples which preserved India, not only its religion but also its borders, came Moghuls and British who could not destroy the core religion, later Pakistan and Bangladesh got separated, but India within the grid of the temples no one could break

And now 2500 years after Adi Shankaracharya once again the Ram temple has been re-established here there are two things:

First let us reflect that physical structure was destroyed by invaders because we had already destroyed its spiritual core, when a civilization moves far away from the path of dharma, the righteous path, the spiritual power no longer remains in temples on the contrary the idols of temples are taken over and occupied by evil spirits.

Hence once we destroy the temples spirituality what follows is the destruction of the physical structure of the place of worship, which happened at the Ram temple at Ayodhya by babur

Read this article and you will get an idea what is happening currently in the Jagganath puri temple, there are hundreds of pages I can write about the happenings in all other temples.

Click link:

Second, there is no doubt that the temple will be used for political propaganda, stupid laser beam shows of modi, the management will fight like mad dogs over the funds generated from the temple---keeping all this aside now that we have a chance to rebuilt the temple, let us also strive to bring the Ram rajya (kindom of lord Ram) back, where women are respected, the head priest of the Badrinath temple had once told me that in sanarthan dharam, women have such a high place that the wifes name is taken first, here the lord is called Badrinarayan, that is husband of badri also we say Sitaram, we take the wife’s name first, but now the mind set of our society is such most people are unhappy when a baby girl is born

The earth needs Ram; let us utilize this opportunity we have got again after 2500 years, since as I mentioned earlier, nothing happens without a purpose and in every way possible we have to be able to nature the qualities of Ram.

IT is most difficult to follow the path of dharma, let us try our best to walk on it as much as we can

And let everyone understand this clearly that: It is indeed our great-heartedness that we will still allow a structure to come up named after babur who came to destroy this land and its culture

In a day or two I will write another article on some incidents/ teachings from the Ramayan

A note regarding the virus

There is a spiritual saying “he who shall not be named” what it means is that; words have a spiritual power, when we take the name of the one that is evil, we give it strength, we evoke him.

So best it is avoid taking the name of the virus, let us spread messages only those which are useful.

Let us deeply reflect that we ourselves have brought it upon ourselves, let us take this opportunity to change.

We will fight it and come out victorious.

A Pilgrimage called Life---part 7

Compare your life to the Giza pyramids

Compare what one seeks in the pyramids and what one seeks in his/her life

If you see the pictures of the Giza pyramids you will see a rough outer stone surface because the smooth outer casing stones were later removed and used to build mosques and fortresses, also some stones were used to rebuild homes after a massive earthquake, hence some people look at the pyramids (and life) only as a means of survival

While some are only interested in the hidden artefacts/ treasures and gold in the pyramids, they ruthlessly plunder the pyramids just to find the hidden treasures; they don’t even realize that the structures they are destroying while pursuing their greed are priceless and the present day humans can never built them, similarly the aim of most people is to make money in life, they do not realize the purpose of their existence (you may refer to the first paragraph in the part 1 of this series)

Most have wasted their life chasing wealth and fulfilling their carnal needs

I quote some beautiful words from the classic book mother by maxim gorky---“the rich. And that’s their misfortune. You see, if you keep adding copper bit by bit to a child’s food, you prevent the growth of its bones, and he’ll be a dwarf; and if from his youth up you poison a man with gold, you deaden his soul”

But the one who seeks the deep mysteries and knowledge inside the pyramids, one day he comes to know about life and his existence on earth such a rare soul has indeed sought the greatest treasure which is knowledge

In the series on death, part2, I have written that “No mummies were ever found inside the pyramids of Giza. The great pyramids of Giza were built for some other higher purpose” and the truly wise indeed pursue to find that higher purpose

Look at this picture, see the sphinx and reflect on it; half human half animal and behind it lies the Pyramid—mankind’s true treasure

An unknown and lost Avesta prayer (zoroastrian religion) reads:

“He has gained nothing who has not gained the soul;
He shall gain nothing who shall not gain the soul.”

Let your existence be fulfilled and Let us not live in vain

Let us understand that man has not come up from an ape, but has came down from God

Let us understand the fall of man from his original spiritual station a pilgrimage in time---we have gathered spoils of eternity---the history of Atlantis is the history of every man so intimately associated with the history of fall

In the days of universal materialism people who once believed in the soul, forgot the power of the soul, they earned penny and forgot about all the true wealth, indeed the present day education has weakened the basis of religion

The people, only after reaching the heights of worldly pleasure the realisation has dawned on them that the very pursuit of pleasure has created a void in their lives, an emptiness in the very Self.

In the movie Asoka (the story of the great king Ashoka), there is a scene where the hero of the movie ask a passing monk, “kya me samrat banunga (tell me, will I become an emperor)” the reply of the monk is indeed the essence of one’s life “samrat to koi bhi ban sakta hai; tum to apni yatra puri karoge (any one can become an emperor; you will complete your life’s journey {pilgrimage}) ---this conversation tells us about the pilgrimage called life

A thought

Our entire solar system is designed to harbour intelligent life forms on Earth:

The diameter of the sun is about 108 times that of the diameter of Earth--The average distance between the Earth and the Sun is 108 times the sun’s diameter--The average distance from the Earth to the Moon is about 108 times the moons diameter--This makes it so the moon appears the same size as the sun during eclipses

Our world orbits the sun at just the right distance — not too hot, not too cold. This habitable zone is where water can exist in liquid form — a basic requirement for life.

The gravity on Earth and our magnetic shield are just right for life forms to survive, and so on

Reflecting on our behaviour—the things we read, the internet sites we browse, the conversations we carry out—does it suit our title of an intelligent life form and the complex mechanism behind creating it

Wanting to know reasons,
Knocking on a door.
It opens.
I've been knocking from the inside!
