Animals our fellow creatures
I have added this article to the
series “A pilgrimage called life” because we cannot say that we are on a
pilgrimage called life if we are unkind to our fellow creatures with whom we
share this planet
This article is written to highlight
the sufferings the birds and animals go through during the process they are
converted to food, and I ask this fundamental question “is non vegetarian food worth
the suffering the animals go through”
A few spiritual teachings are
written at the end of this blog
In later articles I will write about the psychic power of animals
There is a reason you
take your children fruit picking, will you take them to a slaughter house?
Quote: “If slaughterhouses had glass
walls, everyone would be a vegetarian.” ~Paul McCartney
Videos of standard
practices in all animal industries
Would you put a baby chick inside a
grinding blender---that’s what the egg industry does each time a male chick
comes into the world, this process is called chick culling, some say that the
remains are used to make chicken nuggets
Watch the videos that will change
your perception of eggs
And by the way egg is chicken
menstruation
In the picture we see baby goat
embryos that were still in their mothers' womb while the mothers were brutally killed.
The worker is cutting off the baby goats to generate extra profit
No bacon is worth the suffering pigs
in the meat industry experience all around the world
Helpless pigs for sale
at a meat market in Vietnam
A terrified pig with a
giant tumor on his face heads to the slaughterhouse. His flesh will be eaten by
humans in the next few days.
The image below is even more heart-breaking
when you consider the psychology behind the behaviour of the pigs.
Like SMALL CHILDREN, pigs believe
that by hiding their faces, they are hidden from those around them.
These pigs believe that they are
hidden from the slaughterhouse workers who are about to kill them.
A calf strapped to a
device which is used to restrain poor babies before their horns are brutally
cut off, most of the time with no anaesthesia
In Vietnam, it is a
common practice to kill cows by means of a sledgehammer.
The idea that some
lives matter less is the root of all that is wrong with the world
Different culture same
crime
Watch this video of
a cow that gave birth hours before she was killed; after 2-3 years this young
dairy cow was sent to slaughter. While she was in the waiting area of the slaughterhouse,
she went into a premature labor, probably due to excessive anxiety almost 25
percent of dairy cows are pregnant when sent to the slaughter house
Animal’s eyes have the
power to speak a great language
Some screams can’t be
heard
Super trawler fishing nets are so
very big they can hold 13 jumbo jets; example the Australian government allows
a daily maximum catch of 250 tonnes per ship
Federal harvest rules only allow
hook-and-line fishermen and not trawlers to sell halibut, so when the halibut
fish are caught along with yellowfin sole and other fish in the trawler nets they
are required to dump this “bycatch” overboard, they can’t even donate the fish
to a food bank. As a result, over the past decade they have jettisoned (thrown
into the sea) an estimated 82 million pounds of dead or dying halibut.
Sharks are fished for their fins; once
they are on the fishing boat their fins are cut and they are thrown back into
the sea to die a painful slow death
In a study report published by US
scientist in January 2016 they estimated the annual global fish catch to be roughly 109
million metric tons (that is billions and billions of fishes) and the report
also disclosed that 30% of global fish catch is unreported
That much suffering, slow death---Life has no value
Video of the fishing
industry---life has no value
watch this video of a
restaurant in Los Angeles, USA: We became so numb that when we look at the
plate, we see only food. We don't see an animal suffering or someone who has
been tortured and killed
After 12 years of
torture in a circus in Hawaii, this poor elephant called Tyke managed to escape
injuring staff on its way out, Police then shot him 86 times which eventually
killed him. The look on its eyes tells a thousand stories
Animals have feelings,
love, intelligence and they want to
live just like us
Animals have hearts that feel, eyes
that see and families to care for...just like you and me. ~ Anthony D. Williams
Today, animal cognition (the mental
action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought,
experience, and the senses) scientists look at animals not as dumb, but as
intelligent species that view the world in fundamentally different ways
Scientist have even taught bees how
to play soccer
Video---A monkey
fell unconscious after being shocked by Electrical Wiring the other monkey did
everything to save him
Video of a crab
enjoying a cherry; how can someone break his limbs when he is still alive and
put him in a boiling pot
Peace begins on your

If you cannot treat
them like this
At least do not support
an industry which treats them like this, they
too want to be free just like you
As written in previous article on animals, after having suffered so much on Earth millions of animals go into the astral world, full of horror, terror, and shrinking from men, this creates a negative vibration which affects life on Earth, also animal spirits like human spirits can cause “spirit disturbance” which adversely affects humans as well as machinery
In the previous article on why not to eat beef I have explained that--- The shape of the forehead symbolizes intellect and intelligence; you will never find a famous person with a small forehead. The forehead is a measure of the development of the Pineal gland {also referred to as to as the third eye / seat of the soul}. Of course animals do not have foreheads but look at that area on the head of any creature Look at the head of less evolved creatures say the worm or a cockroach there is hardly any development in the pineal gland now look at the head of a cow see it has a highly developed pineal gland. Life evolves upward from levels lower than even apparent animation; animals that have a close association with human beings evolve more quickly, and are likely to be promoted sooner to the level of human evolution. { love read inverse is evol}. The slaughtering of these more highly evolved animals produces strong emotions such as fear and anger which remain as vibrations in the meat itself and increase people’s naturally aggressive and/or fearful tendencies.
One cannot be a yogi if he is on a non-vegetarian
diet; since a person on a non-vegetarian diet digest badly and requires more
atmospheric oxygen which has its ill effects, example a tiger which lives
entirely on a flesh diet has to move to and fro even when confined in a cage in
order to consume more oxygen from the air---I may write about yogis and their
way of life and practices in some other articles
From the Rig
Veda---may we follow the path of goodness as the sun and the moon follow their path!
May we associate again (and again) with the liberal, the non-injuring, the
knowing!
Animals are sentient beings (able to
perceive or feel things) There is a beautiful Buddhist teaching which says that
one sentient being is more precious than all the jewels of the world, the
meaning of this is---there are four kingdoms; mineral kingdom then the plant
kingdom then the animal kingdom and finally the human
kingdom, animals having evolved upwards from minerals and plants are hence are superior
to both plant and mineral kingdom’s hence one sentient being is more precious
than all the jewels of this world
Another Buddhist teaching--- Why are
sentient beings so valuable? Because in order to achieve awakening we need
bodhicitta (Bodhi in Buddhism is the understanding possessed by a Buddha
regarding the true nature of things. It is traditionally translated into
English with the word enlightenment, although its literal meaning is closer to
"awakening." The verbal root "budh" means to awaken. And
chitta means consciousness), and in order to generate bodhicitta we need compassion.
And because compassion must be generated with respect to sentient beings,
sentient beings are infinitely precious and necessary for our awakening.
A Bodhisattva is the one who is able
to reach nirvana but delays doing so through compassion for suffering beings;
the vow of a Bodhisattva is:-
However innumerable beings are, I
vow to save them;
However inexhaustible the passions
are, I vow to extinguish them;
However immeasurable the Dharmas
are, I vow to master them;
However incomparable the
Buddha-truth is, I vow to attain it
We can be a Bodhisattva
Myself feeding a tibetan crow at
Gaumukh the origin of the Bhagirathi (Ganga) ---It is common for birds to eat
from your hands in the Himalaya also animals are not aggressive in this regions
where as it is not so in cities
I stopped eating non vegetarian food
after I came to know the sufferings of animals and birds; but even after so
many years on a vegetarian diet, every day when I pass through the market I get
the smell of roast chicken and my mouth waters, I love sea food but I control
myself, whenever I feel the urge to eat sea food or chicken I divert my mind by
eating a sweet dish instead
Animals are
Inefficient Converters of Food. It is a fact that farmed animals consume more
food than they produce---Watch Leonardo DiCaprio’s film

to step on a caterpillar is as valuable to the child as it is to the
